If your pet travels with you often, you’re probably familiar with the new joys of sitting in long airport lines while waiting for a connecting flight. For many people, it’s just one of those hassles we have to deal with daily. But for those who want to make their pet’s travel experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible, these must-have travel accessories are definitely worth the investment!

1. Pet Carrier

Because pets are part of a family, their travel needs must be taken into account when planning any excursions. If a pet carrier is used, it’s easy to transport and can make all the difference in getting your dog from point A to point B. Look for quality materials like leatherette or faux-velvet, which will resist stains, rough surfaces, and tears.

2. Food and Water Bowls

Next up: food & water bowls! They come in all shapes, sizes, and material types, as well as with healthy options like stainless steel or plastic. You can also find special travel bowls that are dishwasher safe or leakproof with flexible bottoms. If your pet is likely to get car sick, it might be a good idea to purchase a bowl with some form of easy cleaning that is dishwasher safe.

3. Leashes and Collars

Everyone needs a leash! Whether you have pets or not, leashes come in handy for simple tasks like walking, training, and traveling. Not only that but there are lots of exotic kinds of leashes available too! From nylon webbing to leather collars to designer versions – there is no limit to the styles or materials for leashes!

4. Identification Tags

If your pet spends most of its time outside, we recommend getting an ID tag for them. But tags don’t have to be just for dogs! Cats love identification tags, too! It’s a great way to keep track of your pet’s whereabouts and can help if they get lost. You can get basic plastic ID tags or even special IDs with custom designs (for those special people who can’t live without their pets).

5. Carpet Tote

For older pets or those with awkward-shaped bodies, you might want a carpet tote for travel. It’s not just good for transporting pets but also very convenient to carry around as a chair or extra sleeping space on short trips.

Since pets are part of our families, we must ensure that they have a stress-free and comfortable travel experience. These travel accessories will make your pet’s trip as convenient and enjoyable as yours!
